You know, because if it's legitimate, then she will not get pregnant. If only we can harness this for good.

Later he said he misspoke... You know, because that's the type of thing you just "accidentally" say.

I wonder what they classify as "significant frequency."

Probably not. Violent crime is down across the board, and condom use is way up.

It's still terrible, and what he said is still completely wrong, but the "rape epidemic" and the 1 in 8 women has been raped stat that they like to trot out is utter nonsense.

Well at least he was quick to say he didn't really mean it.

Quote :
""As a member of Congress, I believe that working to protect the most vulnerable in our society is one of my most important responsibilities, and that includes protecting both the unborn and victims of sexual assault. In reviewing my off-the-cuff remarks, it's clear that I misspoke in this interview and it does not reflect the deep empathy I hold for the thousands of women who are raped and abused every year. Those who perpetrate these crimes are the lowest of the low in our society and their victims will have no stronger advocate in the Senate to help ensure they have the justice they deserve.

"I recognize that abortion, and particularly in the case of rape, is a very emotionally charged issue. But I believe deeply in the protection of all life and I do not believe that harming another innocent victim is the right course of action. I also recognize that there are those who, like my opponent, support abortion and I understand I may not have their support in this election"

I am embarrassed for my state. So basically, a woman's body knows how to tell a rape sperm from a consensual sex sperm?

That is not the case for many, many women. Not all women are on that sort of timeline, and it's not unreasonable to think a woman who is irregular to begin with wouldn't notice right away.

Ballistic penises and corkscrew vaginas – the sexual battles of ducks

Quote :
"Males who try to force themselves upon her receive no such help and have to cope with vigorous struggling. The female may not be able to resist such advances, but her convoluted vagina gives her ultimate control over where the sperm of her current partner ends up. "

i agree. don't get me wrong....VERY stupid comments. but i think he meant forcible, as well.

statutory rape isn't necessarily forcible, that may have been the distinction to was clumsily trying to make.

it doesn't matter at this point, though. the race is over for him.

Definitely. With the increase in DNA analysis, rapists have employed many ways to deter identification.

Quote :
"a woman has to enjoy sex to get pregnant"

Not sure if this was a joke or not, but, although unnecessary, sexual arousal and orgasm do increase the likelihood or conception. With that said, it is not uncommon for women to experience orgasm during rape.

What disturbs me more than anything about this controversy is how viscously our media will distort the meaning of a simple statement to everyone across the globe. Even worse, people anticipate a media frenzy and immediately distance themselves from the party involved and feign outrage.

We all know what he meant by legitimate rape. Its the typical attacked by a stranger in the darkness image that runs through people's heads and likely even includes degrees of date rape. It is not, however, statutory rape between two people who consent and is not "buyers remorse" rape that often occurs.

Also how has someone not made something like this, yet?
