I'm looking to get a storage shed for my new place. Something like 10x16 or larger. Any suggestions on builders or pre-made suppliers? Any suggestions on what I should look for (size, features, etc.)
I'll do shelving/interior stuff myself. Will likely run power to it and hopefully I'll be able to do the interior wiring myself and have my electrician handle from the house to a breaker panel on the shed.
I'd like to keep my tools in the shed, but I'm concerned about theft and temperature/humidity damage (wasn't planning on HVAC or insulation). I'd also like some room for working/tool bench/etc.
At a minimum I'd like to comfortably fit a riding mower, push mower, riding mower attachments (bucket, seeder, aerator, dethatcher), other powered yard tools, typical yard tools, etc.

Look at those amish buildings. They're built well.
If you don't mind the way they look, those metal buildings are nice.
Don't worry about keeping tools out there. How many garages or shops do you know of with HVAC? 8/24/2012 4:20:53 PM |

True, true. I haven't seen a metal building I care for and I need to check with my HOA anyways (yay ).
I looked at Cardinal Buildings sheds, they seem pretty well built, priced a 16x12 with a few "upgrades" for about $4,700.
I also looked at Wade's Storage Sheds, pretty basic, but seemingly well built. Priced a standard 16x10 for about $3,500, though with the same upgrades as the above, I'd probably be around $4,000. 8/25/2012 8:00:29 PM |
