lived with good and bad girl and guy roommates

both can be slobs

girls can be dramatic but are more clean/smell-goody and bring an air of charm to the house

guys will eat your shit and drink your beer but are laid back and you can fart around them

but I will say that I've never awakened with a hangover in any of my guy roommate's beds though. alcohol+nature can, at times, complicate things

first worst roommate lived in a house owned by his parents (but in his name so he could get residency faster, i guess?)...he was a slob and had a habit of buying whole cooked chickens from HT, eating half, and then leaving the remains on the counter until the roaches ate the rest...he wasn't a bad dude, just a slob, but his dad was a grade-A dickhole who got pissed every time i called them (in tennessee where they lived) about things that weren't being done, the roach problem, etc

they ended up suing me for breach of contract because they had filled it out the rental form incorrectly where the move-out date and number of months didn't jive (i moved out when i said i would, but the number of months was one longer...admittedly, i should have caught it before i signed it)...fortunately, the magistrate wasn't an idiot and threw it out after about 30 seconds of the windbag dad yammering about how he should find in favor of the greater rental period because of blah blah blah

second worst roommate was assigned to me in the dorm freshman year...he was a real pussy with rich parents...i wouldn't let him smoke weed in the room (i know, i'm such a BAD person) and when the RA came to me to ask about the seeds and stems in the trash can, i promptly pointed them toward the pussy and let him get academic probation

this was all after he complained that my typing was too loud and put up a sheet across the room because the light from my monitor bothered his sleep (he'd go to bed around 9pm and get up around 11am...true story)

he moved out of our room during the last two months of school and lived with his sister (who was also at state, but had an apartment)

every other roommate relationship has been uneventful or awesome

had some awful roommates, which caused me so much stress I almost quit school. And had some roommates who I consider family.

I would say about 1/2 good and 1/2 bad.

Current roommate is A++

Both my roommates were awesome when I had an apartment.

I mean first apartment, sure, we kinda lived like slobs and after a couple times I had to argue with him to get him to clean up stuff but there was never any drama or drugs or crazy bullshit happening so it was cool.

Second apartment, dude was one cool mother fucker and still is. Doing fun stuff with the Navy and enjoying life (and brewing a lot of beer).

Both are tdubbers. I guess my first roommate would have been in the dorms but he was not so good. His laundry got so putrid at one point that when he walked in some of the smell would waft over as he walked past me and it kinda made me choke up. He also broke up with his gf via text message which made me kinda sad (that poor girl). He was a socially functioning human being otherwise so he gets more credit than I'll give myself for freshman year.

i just realized i've had 7 different people live with me in my house...

most of them were pretty decent...a couple were nightmares

my current roommate, however, is AWESOME!

I knew I was going to marry my latest roommate when I found out he doesn't pee on the toilet seat, is really clean AND is a GRILL MASTER ( I mean, his steaks are yum!). Couldn't let him go

I haven't had a true roommate since my freshman year (2003)


he was a good guy, but he stayed up late into the morning hours playing counterstrike. he dropped out over christmas and i had the room to myself after that. now that was pretty awesome. having a room to myself in Lee had a lot of benefits that spring semester.

i lived with DROD900 after that, but he was always with Allie, so I hardly ever saw him. that's the best kind of roommate, one dating a girl with a house

I've had three good roommates and one awesome one. Others were "meh" or "bad". I feel lucky though...I haven't had any ridiculous stories, just a few funny ones.

I really don't have any roommate horror stories. Other than the dirty dishes in the sink and not paying rent, I have been pretty lucky.
