My mortgage and a few other things (car payment, etc) are all on autopay and clear on the 1st.
Still don't see any deductions from my checking account.
A couple credit cards arent on autopay but I send them manually online, sent Tuesday, still not posted.
The autopay things always clear instantly on their target dates, dont know whats up there, and credit card typically takes less than 48 hours.
I dont know if I just havent noticed this before, but what the fuck is going on? Sometimes my car payment hangs up for like 5 days, but never EVERYTHING. Even the one thing where I mailed a papercheck is still a no go. Very confused.

I wouldn't rely solely on the deduction from your account. Call or check online for the companies you are dealing with to see if they have 'accepted' the payment.
My credit card shows a payment on Friday and the money isn't deducted until Monday/Tuesday.
If you can afford it, try to send payments a few days earlier than the due date. This way you can be sure holidays/weekends/random server downtime doesn't affect the transfer. 9/6/2012 6:44:51 AM |

made a payment to my Capital One CC on Friday, it posted on Friday (according to them), shows up in my bank transactions, etc.
But the payment is not reflected in "available credit" thus making the card essentially useless 9/6/2012 10:02:17 AM |
