I, too, sold candy in school. My parents gave me $15/week for lunch. I would spend it all on Monday buying candy to re-sell. Most of my money was in Fun Dip, but Now & Laters were always a good haul too. I'd usually turn my original $15 into $50 or so by the end of the week. That covered all my food, gas, and fun for the week/weekend back then. Gas was hovering around a dollar a gallon, so the extra cash actually made a difference.
