Makes me nervous. He keeps his legs moving after he gets hit. While it gains extra yardage, it leads to injury.

And that's my word.

Thorton is nowhere near TA's level

TA is the most talented running back to be at State in the last 20 years, he was just either lazy or super injury prone

Or both.

Also dumb as a bag of hammers.

If he was at UNC, he would have graduated though.

TA's injuries arguably had as much to do with his (lack of) training as with his fighting for more yards. Thornton looked a bit like Mustafa in his cuts but with more burst, but then again he had fresh legs and was running against Citadel. If he has better work ethic and *discipline* than TA and Mustafa he definitely has the talent to have a lot of success.

I'd say Mustafa is more like TA. Incredibly talented, but can't stay on the field.

if greene is incredibly talented, then TA was super duper incredibly talented.

it's silly to even compare the two, other than they both love weed.

Andre Brown is really the only back in recent memory that could compare to TA, and even he is a level or two below.

in terms of raw talent that is. TA won as many games for us as he lost.

^^^ nah, BHS meant the greg golden years.

TA was more talented than Baker and Brown. He just couldn't stay healthy/didn't have the work ethic.

TA had a hell of an O-Line while Rivers was still there, and a much better passing attack that freed him up.

Both Baker and Brown had their share of injuries, and had 3 basic problems: Too much RB talent, some of the worst OL we've ever had, and for much of their careers terrible QBs that weren't going to beat them (of course when they got Russel that changed)

Give Brown a healthy year as the feature back in place of McLendon that gator bowl year, and Brown might out gain him.

And most importantly, TA had a MUCH better OL his first two years.

Damn, how'd I get a TWW account at 13?

I probably knew more about NC State football at 10 than 99% of students. I didn't have shit to do back then but play video games, watch football, and surf the internet.

Don't care if you believe me. Like most people here, I'm fairly intelligent and had zero difficulty in school (especially 5th-8th grade AKA the Rivers years for me). I had a ton of free time to do whatever the fuck, and I was good at computers and have been a State fan since I was born.

i went to hs in pennsylvania, and i remember talking w/ a buddy of mine who was an ohio state fan and us both being super pumped about our respective freshman running backs. how foolish we look, in hindsight.
