i live in raleigh and i love it. I hated it during undergrad, then moved away for the first job and when I moved back it was like a new world and I have been loving it since 2010.

in all honesty though, I have too many friends as it is so stay away from me. Good luck in your travels/moves!

- three hours from the mountains or two from the ocean.
- There are lots of great restaurants
- The Food Truck seen has really taken off
- Several colleges hosting speakers and cultural events
- Discovery Dance Parties
- Decent local and national musical acts regularly coming through
- DPAC for touring Broadway musicals/shows
- all sorts of interesting meetup groups and service opportunities (CP Tigers!)
- lots of multicultural communities and events like Fiesta del Pueblo
