Would have been better if you had a blank post

If this forum doesn't allow that, post a image of a square block with the same color as the background

So... poor execution

"examples of how Democrats think"

I'm going to pretend like you were actually looking for examples and give you some anyways. Here are a few from the "Who are you voting for and why?" thread:

MinkaGrl01:
Quote :
"Obama/Biden

I'm very liberal so to save you time I'll just leave that as why and I'll give you my two big points and it's all I will say on the matter.

A big fear of mine with is Romney/Ryan winning, amongst other things, is the Republicans having all of the control over 2 of the 3 branches of government, with their current control over the House (and possibly future Senate) it's scary to me

Like I said, I'm liberal, but I think this country works best for everyone if all the control wasn't in favor of just one group. I yearn, YEARN, for the days when the two parties would try to compromise. I want to force their hand, so to speak, and make them.

Also another point for voting for Obama is the fact that there are members of the Supreme Court who are nearing retirement age in the next 4 years, with the way the court make-up is right now, I think we need less biased Justices and I don't feel like the Republicans can nominate someone who would fit that criteria for me."

StillFuchsia:
Quote :
"Though where it gives you the breakdown by issue, the things I care about most were the ones I most agreed with Obama

[Edited on September 9, 2012 at 3:58 PM. Reason : voting for Obama, obviously]"

Supplanter:
Quote :
"I'm voting for President Obama, but I can completely understand why people would vote for Gary Johnson, and there's a lot I like about him too. Despite rhetoric the Republican Party in practice isn't a party of small government or less spending or personal freedom, which makes their extremely socially conservative party platform stand out all the more.

President Obama signed an executive order which allows for hospital visitation for gay couples, signed into law the repeal of don't ask don't tell, and supports marriage equality. His stances align more closely with mine than the Republican platform on public education, college accessibility, clean energy, Latino issues, women's rights, equality issues, and voting rights. Who the President appoints for the Supreme Court over the next term could make a huge difference on issues like marriage equality and whether or not Citizens United stands."

Quote :
"Actor Kal Penn took to the phones Monday afternoon to field questions from North Carolina students on a statewide call for the Obama campaign.

“I feel very humbled and honored to have seen firsthand how the president fights for young people,” Penn said.

Penn left Hollywood in 2009 when he signed on to work for the Obama administration in the White House Office of Public Engagement. Having become well known for his roles in House, How I Met Your Mother and the Harold and Kumar series, Penn continues to go back and forth between acting and politics, according to the International Movie Database.
Penn said North Carolina students have uncommon benefits at the polls.

“A lot of people around the country are jealous of young people in North Carolina,” Penn said. “You guys are one of the only states where young people can register and vote early at the same time.”

Early voting in North Carolina begins Oct. 18 and continues through Nov. 3 at select sites throughout the state, including the Talley Student Center."

People are stuck on Republican vs Democrat. The real problem is Progressives and they are in both parties.
Bush was Progressive light
Obama is Progressive full throttle

equating Progressives to forward thinking is like equating Republicans to people who are for the republic and Democrats as people who are for democracy

Eaton Bush has an utterly warped viewpoint; the Bush years were slouching toward theocracy, albeit slowed by the new Democratic majorities in Congress, while the Obama years are slowly drifting back, albeit halted by the new Republican majority in the House.

actually no, because the Democratic Party itself is so full of moderates that many a solidly-Democratic initiative either couldn't pass (ENDA, EFCA, and cap-and-trade, for example) or ended up seriously watered-down (like Obamacare), and then of course when the Rethugs regained control of the House, no serious fixes for our country's problems could be implemented anymore

who is the warped one now. Just because the man believed in God doesn't make a theocracy.
The moderates are the only reason things aren't worse.

It's not just because he believed in God: Otherwise America would have been founded as a Christian nation (then again many of the states were originally theocratic), and Obama would have continued Bush's attempts to undermine the Constitution's provisions against government endorsement of religion.

Past 4 years have been pretty awesome for me... got a raise/promotion, new vehicle, travelled a bunch, made one great new friend in particular, saw Curiosity land on Mars in near real time, and got a retina Macbook Pro.

Considering how Obama stopped the sliding employment rate under Bush-- that's now down to less than 8%-- there is going to be a large and growing number of people who can tell a similar story.

If the next 4 years goes like how the last 4 years have been, things would be pretty great not only for me, but for America.

it really demonstrates the intelligence of a person when they try to take isolated incidents of a few individuals and project their actions onto millions of people.

you do realize that if you took the time, you could find just as many examples of the other "team" (since that's how you seem to see it) doing the same thing, right? i just want to make sure you're aware of how biased you come across.
