I had a rented helium tank at the NC State game last Saturday. It was taken from the West arena lot right under the West 54 sign. It's etched with "Helium Express" at the top.

If you know of anyone that was at the game and came home with an extra tank, please PM me. I don't care if it's empty, but I need to return it. It can't be refilled, so once the gas is spent the empty tank is literally a 30 lb worthless piece of scrap metal.

If whoever took it wants to return it anonymously, feel free to email me (philihp@gmail.com) and tell me where I can pick it up.

Nah, you can just let off smaller helium balloons to figure out where wind is going; which is what we did to figure out where we needed to set up.

I also never understood stealing from other fans. My thought is that it might not be fans doing the stealing, but rather Raleigh local thugs taking advantage of empty parking lots during game time.

I have had footballs, trailer hitch covers, a satellite dish, and a grill stolen over the course of my tailgating years.

the weird thing is, there was a cooler with 6 beers sitting RIGHT next to it that wasn't stolen. that's the part that i just didn't understand. one of those soft cooler bags that you can sling over your shoulder. they took the worthless tank, and not the shit that makes them drunk. some men just want to watch the world burn.

At halftime I head out and go car to car in search of free beer, its way quicker than walking all the way back to my car. Most of the time I only have to go as far as the RV lot for unattended coolers

I can see the occasional or one-time drunken lapse, but it sounds like this is actually your pre-meditated plan game after game. BTW, If I bring a cooler of beer to a game and leave it unattended... then I totally expect other fans to raid the thing. I am okay if I come back and it is empty. We've left ours open on purpose to encourage people to drink the beer that we couldn't. I look at it as more of a tailgate community.

Yeah, a cooler doesn't bring squat at the salvage yard. People are desperate and dumb enough to try and steal copper wire with electricity running through it, if somebody like that drove by and saw that tank sitting there unattended during the game, they're gonna take it.
