Is this for real or a scam?

my friend does a similar program up in san francisco called Lyft, http://lyft.me/

i guess there are a few programs, but at least some are legit.

Just like all of these other pay to work deals, it's a scam.

^^That doesn't appear to be the same thing. That's a ride service; this is where they supposedly pay you to drive around in a free ugly car.
