"What’s a spit roast? How to lose your virginity and tips on using lube – taxpayer-funded sex website for teens is slammed as too explicit

A TAXPAYER-funded teen sex website provides kids with answers to questions like “Is it ok to w*** 5 times a day?” and offers them definitions of sexual terms like “spit roast".

The controversial site is aimed at cutting teen pregnancy but has been slammed as “grossly irresponsible” by family charities.

It also features explicit sex tips and has a gallery of photographs of male and female genitals.

On its front page today it features a “word of the day” section with a definition for “spit roast” before explaining in detail what it is.

The respectyourself.info website, designed by the NHS, free to download as an iPhone app and part-funded by the EU and Warwickshire County Council, is the first of its kind in the UK.

One section of the website gives tips on anal and oral sex as well as losing your virginity.

A no-holds barred FAQ on the website includes answers to questions such as “How do you get horny?", “What is the most common age to lose your virginity?” and “Where can I buy the Karma Sutra?”.

Other bizarre questions include: “Does anyone else's penis let out tomato sauce during sex?”

When one questioner asks whether anal sex “hurts”, the reply from a health professional was simply: “Use plenty of lube... you can’t just stick it in.”

Intimate areas such as the penis, vagina and breasts also display a series of real-life pictures when clicked on.

Teens can also take an “Are you ready?" quiz and answer a series of multiple-choice questions to assess whether they are prepared to lose their virginity.

Last week the site was rolled out across secondary schools in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Family welfare groups reacted angrily to the website and called for it to be banned, branding it “grossly irresponsible” with worryingly “inaccurate” information.

Norman Wells, spokesman for the Family Education Trust, said: “Parents throughout the region will be appalled that health professionals have supported the development of a resource that condones sexual experimentation by young people and uses crude and sometimes even foul language.

“This is a grossly irresponsible website and a complete misuse of taxpayers’ hard-earned cash.

“Many of the topics covered are totally unnecessary and positively unhelpful.”

The app also lets children identify their nearest sexual health clinics and provides a print-out slip detailing their problems and suspected STIs they may have contracted.

Health experts yesterday defended the app — claiming it was designed after researchers travelled to the Netherlands to view sex education classes in schools.

Respect Yourself campaign manager Amy Danahay said: “We have completed the young people’s wish list.

“They asked for the sextionary, pleasure zones and the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered honestly.

“There is also a section for parents as we believe it is important to keep them involved.

“The site is primarily for young people aged 13 upwards but some of the information may be useful for young people experiencing puberty.

“It is important that young people get something they need and want, and that onlookers understand the reality of what young people are talking about.

“The website deals with this curiosity in a fun, yet carefully thought through and educational way.”

A spokesperson for Warwickshire County Council added: “Whilst this site does contain explicit images of genitalia and language commonly used by young people it has all been put together for educational purposes with young people’s health and well-being at the heart of it.

“We can understand that parents may be concerned by some of the content on this website, however, please be reassured that this site has been put together with a lot of thought, care and attention.”

They need to teach abstinence like the South. It's simple really. If no one talks about it no one will do it!

“We can understand that parents may be concerned by some of the content on this website, however, please be reassured that little Sally has to be made aware that she won't be popular unless she takes it in the ass. She is gonna be in back door sluts 9 whether you like it or not, so quit bitching about it."

I love how information automatically downloads into people's brains from space when one turns 18 years old. There is no need to educate the population on what they desire the most.

I went to it. There are some weird spelling/punctuation errors that suggest a hasty development. It seems informative, but there are some things on there that most people would never say to a 13-year-old. For example:

Quote :
"Whilst alcohol and sex can be lots of fun and make a good night great, sometimes they can actually make a good night something you would rather forget."

http://www.respectyourself.info/sex/sex-and-alcohol/

Stuff like that seems out of place on a website that's also pushing the act of hugging as an alternative to having sex.

I went through some more, and it is bad. Some of it appears to be written by non-native speakers. They also devote tons of words to the dumbest questions and most ridiculous details about sex, but then they totally bomb questions about rape:

Quote :
"If you are being forced in a sexual relationship does it count as domestic violence?

It sounds like it could help to read this: "Saying No" and this: "The Ideal Relationship"

If you need help, you can always talk the guys at KOOTH and Childline."

"Saying No" has no mention of rape, and "The Ideal Relationship" page wasn't working. KOOTH/Childline are generic teen helplines. So I don't get it. I don't know why they would go into detail about "blue waffles" but fail to mention that if someone is truly being forced into sex, then that is rape. They really did devote more words to blue waffles than rape.

Sounds like they were going for something similar to the "Our Whole Lives" sex ed curriculum and failed in the execution.

I just think the title of the website is funny when compared to some of the content. I'm sure the male/female in the middle of the "Spit roast" has a ton of self respect!

But only if they got the two dudes to wear a condom first!
