OK hopefully you've seen the other two shows before commenting.

I'm ranking them as:

1) Homeland
2) Treme
3) Dexter

You can't really call dexter a good show, now. People are just pot committed after 6 seasons.

Homeland
Boardwalk
Downton
Treme
Sons of Anarchy
Dexter

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

And Boardwalk is ridiculously boring. It's just a bunch of boring conversations with piano parlor music in the background.

The Boardwalk episode from the Sunday before last featured an assassination attempt on a dude fucking a whore while choking himself.

And Dexter sucks donkey balls.

^^ It doesn't go way downhill, it just kind of..loses it's flair for being engrossing. The first few seasons were really good (Season 1 is still far and away my favorite) and then everything after that has just been mediocre imo.

I've heard that Dexter's new season is actually pretty good. Though I've never seen it myself. I love Homeland. And personally I've always enjoyed Boardwalk but I feel like it is kind of boring these days. Of the HBO dramas I watch (and I don't watch Treme) Boardwalk is my least favorite.

Homeland
Dexter
Treme

Dexter suffers from spotty writting. Some seasons are stupidly awesome (Trinity Killer) and some are just plain silly (last season up til the last episode). Luckily so far this season seems to be on an upswing so we'll see.

Treme has been really good this season. Homeland is one of the best shows ever. Dexter is Dexter...an insightful thriller/campy soap opera all at the same time!

plz explain mane.

Treme is cultural, relevant and relays inside details to a horrific situation, details that most of us missed or overlooked.

Homeland is just some fantasy that adds nothing to our common ground other than Brody's wife has nice tits and we all love suspense.

You know who else loved suspense? TheTuck That guy loved suspension.

Breaking Bad is boring as hell.

Homeland is like 24 without a lot of the theatrics/action movie dependency and seemingly (disclaimer: I'm only 5 episodes in) none of the dumb sideplots.

Dexter has two pretty good seasons (first and fourth) and the others are just sort of there.

homeland is straightforward and to the point, there's a few side stories but they all tie into the main story so far and enhance the whole story

homeland rules all

How many seasons of Treme are there?

I think I've watched two seasons...and I really liked it for the music aspect....but holy fuck it was slow as shit. Wondering if it "sped up" a bit in the following seasons.

Haven't watched Homeland yet, but I'm a season behind Dexter and I still think its a great show. First four seasons were awesome and the rest have at least been entertaining. I think its hard to keep that high of a standard for so many seasons.

I actually liked the first season of Dexter better than the first season of Homeland. I've heard a lot of great things about the current Homeland season, I just haven't got around to watching it yet because I wasn't blown away with S1.

If you compared Dexter S1 and S2 vs. Homeland now, the opinions would be a lot different. Let's see where Homeland's at in their 7th season. And the new season of Dexter is actually really good. It's just coming after an extremely shitty S5 and S6 so a lot of people have just quit on the show (and I was almost one of them).

I want to like Boardwalk, I probably should like Boardwalk but I might stop watching. I hate all the characters and I find myself on my phone during episodes and I never do that with shows I'm really in to like Breaking Bad.

Never seen Treme. Doesn't appeal to me at all.
