It's based in Cary, and is cheap as HECK for unlimited minutes, texts, and data.

I'm either going with them, or Straight Talk, but wanted to see if anyone's used Republic Wireless before.

yep. we signed up and the wife uses it for her phone. I'm signing up and using it for my phone as soon as I can. (I'm waiting until they release the dual band phone)

I've signed up, but haven't been able to do it. They told me my beta group would open this past spring/summer. Well I just got the email a week or two ago saying it was finally open. I can't afford to straight up buy a phone right now so I'm outta luck for now

I just let my beta invite pass, because they are phasing out their current single-band phones for dual-band in the next couple of months. So looks like I'll be waiting until after Christmas most likely.
