Just got an e-mail saying several campaign surrogates will be around the state this final weekend before the election. Which ones are coming on the Romney side?

I know at least one of you tdubbers most be on the Romney listserv, what are they saying, who is coming to NC in the final days?

I also thought this might be a discussion of the role of surrogates in general. What do they bring to the table? What happens if they overshadow the person they represent?

Many seem to be drawn from the spheres of politics, celebrities/musicians, or politicians families. I notice they are often a lot freer to say things a candidate could never get away with.

^Are they spending time here in NC then for the same reason Romney's pretending to go after PA, to make it look like they're confident enough to potentially expand the map?
