So I got pulled into an office once to clarify what was meant by my words...

"It's been brought to my attention about your poor choice of words lately and I wanted to discuss office etiquette with you."

"Well what's being said, sir?"

"Well, for instance, what did you mean by 'shoving a wet noodle up a monkey's ass?'"

I giggled a little.

"I was attempting to portray how difficult the task being directed to me at the time, sir."

"I see, and what about 'this is like finding centipedes in vagina'?"

I giggled again.

"Well I found things in the report that should be there, but wasn't, and vice versa, sir."

All I can do in these situations is giggle after they repeat everything I said back to me.

Has that ever happened to you?

"I see, and

Act like an adult at work, not a 13 year old. Grow up.

If I said those things at work, and got in trouble for it and sat down by the boss, I would be terribly embarrassed and extremely apologetic.

Chit chat? In my lounge? It's more likely than you think.

I once had Chris Hansen read portions of my chatroom conversation back to me.

I just drank my iced tea and took it like a man.

I'm surprised you didn't say "Eat penguin shit, you ass-spelunker!" at work.

No. I don't use messageboard vernacular in real life.

I was teaching a math class which my boss (this intimidating Belgian lady) was observing. and at one point I said "Okay, let's simplify this sucker" in reference to the problem I was doing

when I went to her office later to discuss her visit, she said, somewhat flabbergastedly, "at one point you referred to the problem you were doing as a ''sucker'' "

I was like "yeah"

then we had this very obtuse conversation in which I said, in essence, "Sucker doesn't mean dicksucker in this context," while she said "but maybe some of your students interpreted it as dicksucker"

without ever actually saying "dick"

it was kind of interesting
