Um just a casual glance at your list and I already know its bs. BoA announced the 30k job cuts in September...... of 2011. Ericsson announced there 14k cuts in March 2012.

That really sucks to kill his career like that.

It was largely because of the strategy Gen. Petraeus implemented upon taking over Iraq operations that we were able to pull out. People may want to credit Obama or even the original Bush timeline-- but Petraeus was the one who strategized the Surge and the 'hearts and minds' approach that ultimately enabled us to pull out when we did.

Without even reading the whole list - BofA was already laying off those 30k, regardless of who is president. Pretty sure Sony Ericsson had already announced theirs as well. The rest are immaterial. with the exception of maybe Boeing. But Boeing doesn't need to be mass producing anything right now so that makes sense too.

Boeing's layoffs are a result of a restructuring of their defense, space, and security businesses. They're doing the same thing that every other defense company is doing - and has been doing for years now. Downsizing and attempting to become leaner partially in preparation for a possible sequestration, and partially in order to deal with an already shrinking defense budget.
