I hate the traveling, but I love seeing family. I hate spending the money on the gifts, but I love being able to give stuff to people I care about. I'm not at all religious, but I'm not anti-religion either- to each their own. I do absolutely detest christmas music though- fuck that noxious holiday crap.

The worst part about the holidays is that Thanksgiving and Christmas are too close together. A massive lump of calendar holidays to get off work and all of them take place in the span of 4 weeks. I'd rather that be spread out a bit.

Plus the visits. I don't mind the visits but it's ridiculous when everyone in the family expects visits for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. You use up all your time off work driving around in a car (the one thing I DON'T want to have to do when I get a day off work) and then you turn around and do it all over again 3 weeks later.
