I too, am from montgomery county. There's nothing there and no real reason to go there unless you want to visit family or go camping or some shit.

Essentially there is no purpose. They won't close the shelter down because then what? You just have a bunch of stray animals running around and no way to control the population. Theoretically the shelter should address whatever made them fail in the first place but if there's zero funding beyond what they get to gas the animals things won't get fixed.
