I always put up major computer components on this site because I have sold RAM and GPUs on here in the past, so I figure why not.

I have an E0 Q9550 for sale, this CPU has worked flawlessly since I bought it new in August of 2010. I am asking $150 Shipped to anywhere in the US

(E0 Q9550s on Ebay used going for $180+ not including SH --- http://www.ebay.com/itm/INTEL-Q9550-CORE-2-QUAD-SLB8V-2-83GHZ-12M-1333-05A-/251189683060?pt=CPUs&hash=item3a7c126374)

I ran this chip at 3.6ghz 24/7 on my Thermaltake Water2.0 Pro (w/ 2x Silverstone FM121 fans) and here is a copy of the last Intel Burn Test run:

Chip runs at 1.38V on my BioStar TPower i45 to achieve those temps/speed. The shown voltage is before VDroop.

This is when E0 Q9550's are fetching $150 used easy, if you don't have a serious offer you might as well save your typing. I already have an offer of $120 on another forum.

Anyone want to make an offer above $120?

You can see another E0 Q9550 over 1 day out fetching above $120 on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/INTEL-Q9550-CORE-2-QUAD-SLB8V-2-83GHZ-12M-1333-05A-/251197064340?pt=CPUs&hash=item3a7c830494

If I don't get an offer above $120 in the next week, I'm going to sell.

But I thought these were fetching $180 on eBay???

Why should someone buy such an outdated CPU. Hell, at that price point AMD is a far more enticing platform and one that doesn't lead to a dead end.

They are fetching $180 (actually he got $182.50 + $7.99(SH)), look at the OP.

People are buying these for decent money for 2 reasons. Lots of people (especially gamers) are still running C2D setups and want to upgrade to C2Q. Q9550's can't be bought in stores most places anymore, so the only way to get them is through people who have them. A Q9550 is literally 2x E8500, so it's a beast of a CPU for S775. I'm willing to take well below $180 because I'm selling car parts fetching plenty of money and I just need to get this thing sold. However I will wait it out for the best offer and the best standing offer is $120.

4057 benchmark.

4406 benchmark, brand new, and less than what you are asking for. Yes its a different socket, but not the point.

If the Q9550 is a rare model, great, hold on to it and wait for somebody who absolutely must have that model replacement. Otherwise, $50 is a reasonable offer for TWW. Ebay will absolutely bring in more money if you think you can sell it there ... TWW will get it off your hands immediately.

Just a FYI, this CPU sold for $125 and the Motherboard (BioStar TPower i45) sold for $60 along with it, same buyer. It was on another forum (computer forum), I just stick stuff like this on TWW in case there happens to be a serious buyer.

Don't you do a lot of serious overclocking? Nice CPU but I'm not sure I'd buy a used one from someone that probably pushed the limits on it.

(Really nice documentation in the first post though, thorough.)

I do a moderate amount of OCing, normally as my hardware gets older I push the OCer further and further to keep up with demanding games. I had that chip bench at 4ghz, but mostly ran it at 3.6ghz which isn't that large of an OC (800 MHz). Also I always run pretty nice cooling on my hardware, one of the main reasons why people will buy my hardware that has been pushed a little further than your avg user. Not to mention some people pay extra for chips they know OC well. I had an E8500 that could do 4.7ghz on air that fetched $180 ($180 was the same price as new) before I bought this chip for $220. $40 to go from a C2D to a C2Q that was literally two E8500s

I'm just glad it sold, I didn't even have a chance to post my GTX 480 @840/1680/4000 w/ Zalman VF3000F cooler on here, it sold almost immediately ($200)

My specs are now:

CPU: Intel i5-3570K @ 4.2ghz (1.064V)
Mobo: ASRock Z77 Extreme3
RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series DDR3 2133 2x4GB
GPU: ASUS GTX 660 Ti DCII 2GB @ 1047/7012
LCD: BenQ FP241W 24" P-MVA LCD (1920x1200)
Sound: Auzentech X-Fi Prelude + Onkyo TX-SR500 (LPCM) + Polk Audio Monitor Series II Speakers
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro 128GB + 1TB Seagate Barracuda + 640GB WD Black Caviar
PSU: Corsair HX 750W 80+ Silver (62A)
UPS: Cyberpower CP1200AVR (720W)
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Cooling: Corsair 650D + Corsair H60 on 480 + TT Water2.0 Pro (+ 2x Silverstone FM121 120mm)
