I have a few textbooks that are too old and outdated to sell on eBay. Is there anything good to do with them aside from just chucking them into the recycling bin? 12/30/2012 11:05:12 PM |

I've got a few, I know one is/was the intro to EE text. I was thinking about what to do with them a couple of months back then I forgot about them. 12/31/2012 12:47:34 AM |

thrift-store donations
I know I for one had the ♥ back in the day for some old textbooks that some college students donated to Goodwill; the town I grew up in didn't have a bookstore or an institution of higher education, and the library wasn't as well-stocked as a big-city library. 12/31/2012 12:48:30 AM |

You can send them to other countries. I sent a whole bunch through Bridge to Asia:

Pretty sure you can donate them to betterworldbooks but I don't know what they do with them.
Sometimes around campuses they have a bin that you can put them in to donate. 1/10/2013 9:17:27 PM |

I'll throw in another vote for book burning. That's what we always used to do back in the day. 1/18/2013 10:57:04 PM |

Use as building blocks to make shelves, desks, or other simple structures. We used to reinforce 2 x 4 planks on homemade shelves with horizontally laid books to prevent the middle bowing problem. 1/19/2013 12:51:07 PM |
