I use to drive back and forth to Wilmington for soccer practice when I was in high school. I would always stop by McDonalds and get a Chicken McNugget Extra Value Meal and eat it in the car on the way back from practice going down 74/76 to Whiteville. A small part of the drive would be getting out of Wilmington, but most of it was on the highway...so it wasn't too bad. But I felt pretty accomplished as a 16-year old, balancing McNuggets, fries, several dipping sauces, and a large drink while driving with my knees.

speaking of lunchables, have we all noticed that the meat and cheese slices are about half what they used to be?

disclaimer: i take lunchables on inner tube floats down a river here while drankin. work well in a cooler.

it's been awhile since i've had one. they are usually a staple in my cooler if i'm doing an extended site camp. good for midday snacks and incredible munchie food. the ham/turkey cuts used to be about an 1/8th inch thick which was awesome.

i remember when pizza lunchables came out. I think I ate them almost every day at lunch. If an original turkey or ham made it's way into my lunchbox i would be so mad. Pizza Lunchable and an Ecto Cooler. memories, yo.

yeah, but this was like 2nd grade. I had a huge fear of dropping my tray on the way to the table in front of the big kids. so i always brought my lunch. It wasn't until a couple years later I learned how awesome school lunches really were. turkey and noodle day with a roll ftw.

i think i was in 4th or 5th grade when they came out. I was already a big boy and lunchables weren't enough food so I never got into them.

In 3rd grade I moved to a new school and didn't have any friends, so I ate my lunchables in the bathroom everyday. Delicious, but devastating.

We couldnt afford lunchables (well, we probably could have but my parents are just cheap), so they wanted to send me to school with crackers and hand sliced deli turkey.

Just not the same...

Needless to say, I ate PB&J most days.

I'd get them once in a while. I'd have to be at the store and remember to pester.
