Anyone been there before?

When I was working we would take clients there every once in a while for an afternoon out. Since then I've scheduled some outings there with friends.

Neighbors want to shut it down because the gunfire scares their animals

This sounds like the title of the next Uncharted game.

I've been there once or twice. It's OK. Don't remember anything noteworthy about it, either pro or con.

I have a cousin who works there on the weekends.

I go there a lot to keep my shot on with the clays. From wha I understand was that the course has been there forever. It used to be a farm but they decided they could make more money turning it into a shooting range. Also I heard a neighbor complained that a bullet went through their house but they could never prove it came from drakes. For the price, this is great fun on a Saturday morning when hunting season is over.

Wow I just went back to the article to see if there were any updates and the Golo did not fail to provide a few entertaining comments.

The controversy around it is pretty funny. The state, and several rural county governments have really been trying to build agrotourism agritourism for a long time, especially since a lot of old Tobacco farms are trying to convert over to something more profitable. I remember when I was working for NC Wildlife running and article about this same kind of set-up in the mountains.

These set-ups are usually win-win for everyone involved. Farmers get to retain family farms and make a profit, tree huggers are stoked that large properties are allowed to return to wild vegetation, instead of employing low-wage migrant laborers the farms are employing skilled workers at much higher pay, and I get a place that I can scratch the itch to blow apart orange targets without having to worry about purchasing, maintaining and storing a firearm.

But a few neighbors have dogs too skiddish to pee in the yard and we must shut this place down. My dog won't go outside on garbage day since the trucks roll through the neighborhood, maybe I can petition the city.
