Virgil is so-named in a dig at Virgil "Dusty Rhodes" Runnels, who Vince McMahon routinely tried to humiliate while working for the WWF.

Naturally, when Virgil moved to WCW, Dusty gave him the name Vincent as a dig at McMahon.
