Not on the internets but IRL. Do they like you, hate you, indifferent to you?

I find that people either REALLY like me or they REALLY dislike me. There isn't any middle ground. So much so that people who may have once really disliked me now really like me and some who really liked me really dislike me.

Is this how it is for everyone?

I found I started caring less if people liked or disliked me.

So really there are only people that like me, and people I don't associate with.

all I hear is good feedback from everyone I meet...apparently I have a fabulous personality

so I gather that most people like me

otherwise I'm in grimx's camp and don't associate with those that don't like me

im the one who uplifts everyone around me

the guy that keeps it positive, and communicates well

but i am not always engaging in one on one conversation

work and life, but the only way you know how folk feel about you is on a performance evaluation, and i cant disagree

everyone likes me, i am not abrasive and i dont shit on people's opinions so i dont make enemies or give reasons to talk behind my back

i get respect because i give respect

I'm the same way. Was at a party recently and a guy said something along the lines of
"David, I bet 80% of the people you meet fucking hate you, but they other 20% fucking love you"
Probably b/c I don't bother putting on a facade in front of people. Anyway, I pretty much agreed and took it as a compliment. No room for gray in my life. It's all binary.

In instances where you guys think people don't like you or think badly of you, do you guys have any proof or just going with a gut feeling?

I'm asking this, because sometimes I think I just assume and over think situations.

i think people who know me like me for the most part, or are indifferent at the least(coworkers, mostly). sometimes i don't think ahead and that gets me into some trouble. other than that i think i have a decent relationship with most people i interact with. there might be at least one or two people who hate me, but i don't think i've ever actually had conversations with them.

I think most people are indifferent towards me. One thing I've noticed about three times over the past 5 years or so is that someone I barely know really dislikes me and I'm not sure why. Like someone I've maybe had a handful of conversations with at mutual friend gatherings, not friends with on FB, no real association, but for whatever reason they just dislike me. Not sure what that's about.

I try to be nice and friendly to everyone. But I'm not definitely not really outgoing and over the top about it. As far as I know there are very few people who have a strong negative opinion of me.

Edit: and similarly, there aren't many people that I just absolutely hate.

I get along with guys as long as there is a clear level of mutual respect.

With girls I'm that guy that they all want to be best friends with but never date.

But all in all, people like me. I'm willing to look past anyone's faults as long as they can look past mine.

On the surface I am an extremely unlikable person. I know it all, I'm always right, I'm not subtle, I don't do tact, I don't coddle, I'm not cheerfully predisposed, etc. But you always know what you're going to get and some people like that.

I'm pretty shy so I guess most people think I'm stuck up. I know one of my coworkers thinks I'm horrible because I can never hear her when she talks to me and she thinks I do it on purpose.
