I kind of want to drive by the house just to see what the real lawn looks like. Anyone live near Hilburn Elementary that can report?

I am a Realtor.

I use a professional photographer.

She is a PRO at putting grass back in peoples yards!!! I even sent her a picture of a yard where I forgot to move my sign (which is a no-no) she sent it back with no sign, no sign shadow, and greener grass.

yeah, no doubt this is done quite often, but it just usually is done much MUCH better than this abomination haha.

i was going to say that i feel that's is inarguably dishonest and potentially illegal (willful misrepresentation or something)...but unless you purchase the house without actually checking it out, you're going to see what you're actually getting...also, as long as no one blatantly lies to you (ie. "that's what the grass looks like in the summer!"), it's more a gimmick (when done well) to get people to look in the first place

so never mind

I've seen on those HGTV shows that people will spraypaint their lawns green for showings.

Also they photoshopped out the steep driveway and front lawn, it looks almost level in the pic.

I have been out with buyers before and pulled up in front of a house like that where the yard had issues and the pics hid it...they definitely said they did not even want to go in and I had to cancel the appt and go to the next.

The pics only get people out to see the home, they are still going to see it when they come in person.

kinda like opening some poor craigslist schmoe's factory sealed laptop and then lowballing him after your opening it dropped the value of the product

^^^^ that comparison is only relevant had i told the guy i was going to buy it sight unseen for his asking (retail + tax + shipping cost) and THEN "lowballed" him after opening it

when did "not paying retail" become the same as "lowballing"? in any case, i certainly didn't lie to him

i sold that laptop a little over a month later for a $10 loss, so i still sleep pretty well at night

wow.

i remember a thread where he bragged about pulling into a parking spot next to another car that was parked across the line and he intentionally slammed his door open into the other car.

link? sure you're not making shit up now?

i've intentionally hit another person's car door when they parked NEXT to me (ie. i was already there) and i could ONLY get into my car by putting my door against theirs...but you make it sound like there were a dozen open spots and i picked the only one next to a car for the sole purpose of banging into someone's car for shits and giggles

not ashamed of that, either...fuckers who can't park should expect dings on their car as the penalty

a few weeks back, some jackass parked so close to me that i couldn't get into my car except through the passenger side

once i got in, i open my driver door as hard as i could and left a nice-sized dent in his '08 or '09 escape (not a luxury car, certainly, but new enough to be pissed about the dent)

joker was in the last space of the row...he had PLENTY of room on the other size, so he had this coming

It would've been more convincing if they Photoshop'd the rest of the pictures with grass in it.
