yeah, it'd be interesting to see what % of college kids are evangelicals now compared with when I was in college in the late 90s-'02.

Anecdotally, it seemed like there was a sudden jump just after 9/11. Several people i was close friends with went from being typical college kids who partied hard to being way-too-serious religious weirdos who were too good to drink or party anymore practically overnight.
