My wife would put something on them and then bake them in the oven to make Kale Chips. They were pretty good that way. 3/2/2013 6:49:01 PM

All you really have to do is saute it. A little olive oil and some crushed red pepper, or sriracha, or perhaps balsamic. Salt and pepper. There are many other good things to do with it, but that's the easiest.
[Edited on March 2, 2013 at 8:33 PM. Reason : If the leaves have a really big rib, might want to take that out. Can also cut up big leaves. ] 3/2/2013 8:31:30 PM

This is what annoys me about the bagged chopped kale. Ribs all up in that shit. 3/3/2013 12:18:04 PM

do baked kale chips stay crispy? are they even crispy when they come out?
I've had kale at a whole foods bar before, they just steamed that shit with some raisins and cranberry. They were inedible, luckily they had a curry dish at the bar, it went down OK with the curry sauce. 3/3/2013 12:22:26 PM

Collards are better.
Kale, you're okay, but not great. Competition is stiff. 3/3/2013 12:23:38 PM

No, they don't. We tried to make some ahead of time once and they were all soggy by the time we wanted to eat them. 3/3/2013 12:24:08 PM

So in Jamaica they cook a very similar dish to collards and kale called callaloo. They cook it with salt fish, and it is amazing. I thought that I would never turn down collards ever, but that salt fish just kicks it up a notch. 3/3/2013 1:51:23 PM
