Modestly. I'd buy a nice house, in a fun town, and buy a few towns. Honestly, not too many people would know I was rich.
I'd probably still work, just to have something to keep my mind sharp, but take vacations often. I'd be a philanthropist too.

I'd keep my house in Raleigh, but I would hire people to do all the cleaning, landscaping, maintenance, and repairs.

I'd buy a home at Lake Gaston and do the same. I'd outfit it with a new wakeboard boat that would probably be in the six figure range (Nautique G23 son!).

I'd buy another home in the Raleigh area and relocate my parents here. I think it would benefit them as they get older to be closer to my brother and I as well as the good hospitals and doctors we have around here.

Aside from buying a bunch of shit I'd travel. I'd spend months at a time in vacation spots around the world, engulfing myself in the culture and developing new friendships and connections.

After traveling I'd probably buy condos in a couple of my favorite vacation spots. Maybe Key West, a ski resort town, and Costa Rica? These would be available for use by my family and friends as well.

I'd own an ocean going boat that I can sleep on. I'd take it on trips up and down the east coast, to bimini, the bahamas, etc.

After the initial excitement of traveling the world started to wear off I'd probably try to involve myself by helping others via existing organizations and direct injections of funds to support projects that I feel are worthy.

pretty much exactly this, though I would fund a school system/research facility where I would do BCI research as I saw fit.

I'd also own a private race complex for me and friends to practice on.

I have really thought A LOT about this.

We would not work to earn money of course but work in things that we REALLY want to focus on.

I would have the best accountants and advisors that money could buy. They would only work for my family teaching Ken, me, and the kids how to manage money properly.

Ken and I would have no debt and acquire no debt.

We would live an average life, in a house large enough for my family. We would be able to afford organic everything and figure out how to have a sustainable agriculture system and hopefully not have to rely on large companies for at least the way we eat or at least support the local organic farmer. We would travel often and at least I would be constantly learning the major languages around the world and also hire people to teach our kids languages. I would not have many toys but all of our clothes would be handmade from local businesses and the kids would have all opportunity to learn new things.

Personally, I want to learn to play a guitar/ukulele/bass/drums/cello and sing all the time, have a personal trainer (kickboxing, of course), have a personal chef, support my deserving artist friends by getting them shows through the best contacts and buying their art, hire a space planner and interior designer, have [mostly candid] family portraits done every 4-6 months, have someone thoroughly clean my house every 2 months (because I will clean it most of the time), I would have hair removal done in certain places, finish mine and Ken's tattoo wants with the best artist, and have our clothes tailored. I would help fund charities like Covenant House, other ones that involve domestic violence, education, and the environment. I would need to figure out if there were any positive ways to fund local and national politics too. I would go to as many TED conferences as I could. Also figure out how to continue to be a lifelong learner (going on expeditions or taking classes, reading?)

My extended family would never be in need but they also wouldn't know where extra help is coming from. I would figure out creative ways to anonymously give my close friends $500 a month for the rest of their lives.

My hope is that our wealth would be speculated at times but never answered in full so we could possibly live a normal life.

My first venture would fund everything involved in creating water wells in villages for the 80% of people around the world that don't have clean water. I would also serve on these teams that help train people how to prepare these wells. Also, fund the Right to Water and Sanitation project and engineers/projects that come up with alternative ways of sustaining the land so that water, animal product and agriculture don't destroy it.

My second venture would be funding the cause to cure type I diabetes and all things related to diabetes.

My third venture would be involved in computational neuroscience somehow.

My fourth venture, with the help from other experts, would be to revamp the whole idea of education up through secondary based on flow theory.

My fifth venture would be to create and fund mentor programs for at risk youth.

There is probably more but this is a great start.

I'd have a condo at the PNC downtown, a beach and/or lake house in NC and probably something in a ski resort town like Vail and then apartments in world capitals like NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo, etc.

I think I'd spend most of my time earning degrees for fun from places like Oxford or Cambridge and just galavanting around Europe paying for my friends to fly out and chill with me.

I think I'd live pretty lavishly. Support local economies by dumping a ton of money into them. I'd be most interested in exploring the world without having to go through the desolate, barren wastelands of the world. Cultural meccas, island paradise, vibrant cities, picturesque destinations is more my thing.

I'd do a lot of giving, but never be home enough for people to track me down and ask for money. Family would never have to work another day in their life. I'd be at most A-list events, mainly because people want my money, mainly because I can afford to go. Super bowls, all star games, I'll be there. Won't look to make my money grow, will just be content to spend what I can until I die, then pass what's left to family and charities.

aside from worldly possessions, like houses in cities i like, and traveling...

i would probably start/buy a company that does r&d in areas that interest me, run it only from a philosophical perspective... ie this is our policy, this is how we carry ourselves... and then i would let other people run the company. but then i'd go hang out with the lower ranks, and shoot the shit with them, and get involved in projects i want to, on an implementation side.

basically, i'd have a really big garage and pay people to hang out in my garage and make shit with me.

I'd have a house somewhere to store records and gear, and I'd let a friend live there rent free to look after it.

For me i'd get a boat and a plane and a ranch in the middle of no where with a landing strip.

I'd have a nice house with plenty of room for friends but not the penis extension type...

I'd probably have a million cars because i love cars not because i want to be the most awesome person in the world.

I would run an animal rescue on the ranch and fly to cities when i needed some city time and to the boat when i needed some water/beach time.


& i would totally have a human sugeon and a vet team up for a heart transplant on my dog.

I love my wife so i wouldn't be cheating, and i'd try to give back with the rescue.

Probably not too differently. I'd put a house with a handicapped accessible in law suite further back on the property and just tear this one down, I'd buy out my white trash next door neighbors, I'd have the woman who cleans for me once a week quit her full time job and come work for me cooking, cleaning, and watching the kids once in awhile, send my husband back to school, spend monies on pre-implantation genetic diagnosis so that I could have more children without the guilt, use a personal trainer daily instead of once a week to get down to a healthy weight... I wouldn't do anything too outside of the box. I'd still want to be at home raising my children, but just be a little more comfortable and with fewer worries. I'd probably spend more time reading and writing or just playing with my kids and less time on the drudgery.
