A friend of mine said he takes peanuts to shipping stores and hands them over. When I moved he took 3 trash bags of peanuts away for me and said he was going to turn them in. I have not personally done that though, so YMMV. 4/10/2013 12:45:37 PM

we used to recycle our styrofoam lunch trays in elementary school. (at least the teachers told us they were being recycled... they could have been dumping them in the trash after we left for all we knew.) 4/10/2013 1:00:11 PM

yeah, i've taken the packing peanuts to the UPS store on a number of occasions...all they ask is that they're clean

i really hate throwing a styrofoam because it's easily recycled...but most places won't take it because they can't make money on it

Put peanuts in bottom of pot then potting soil and plant. Helps with drainage and weight of your potted plant. 4/10/2013 11:23:30 PM
