I suffer from low-moderate tinnitus in both ears from exposure to extremely loud noises. I also have high frequency hearing loss with my right ear being more severe. In the past couple months I've been getting ear aches (usually more of an annoyance than pain) in my right ear, tinnitus increasing in that ear and that ear has had more wax buildup.

Am I dying?

Based on the waxy buildup, it sounds like AIDS to me.

Infection? Maybe seasonal allergies clogging up your ear tubes so fluid can't drain properly.

My right ear drum either ruptured or somehow scarred itself about five years ago and since then I have had more problems with tinnitus and, especially when the weather is fluctuating, periods of sharp ear pain. If it's a frequent enough thing to concern you, see a doc and get them to check your ears. If you have insurance it's like $20 and you'll at least have an answer on whether anything looks weird.

I regret not seeing a doctor earlier when I had similar minor problems, then they turned into major health problems that cost me thousands of dollars.

Just make sure your ear drum isn't ruptured before you start putting stuff like earwax remover in your ear.
