I wonder why they even use "men's" and "women's" as glove-sizes; I mean sure women tend to have smaller hands than men, but the variation within the sexes is surely great enough to require more sizes...

...wait nvm, standard deviation in hand length is just under 1cm whether you mean men or women, and median hand lengths for men and women are about 1.3 standard deviations apart, and for circumference the standard deviation is about the same, but the medians are about 2.7SD apart, so even an "intermediate" size would be a specialty thing.

Sometimes I can wear a men's small or xs (other times the fingers are too short, but a M the palm is way too big), but most home improvement stores only carry M-XL. Home Depot was the only place with gloves that fit me.
