i wasn't trying to criticize how any of the victims reacted... I was just challenging the assertion that because the men who were assaulted reacted differently than the women they shouldn't be considered as victims of the same crime.

multiple people did things. the bart security officer tried to fight him and the guy crazy guy was doing flips and shit. the female bart employee helped that woman and old man get inside the ticket booth and called the cops. the cops arrested the guy. not perfect, but no one seemed to get hurt.

would it have been better if someone tried to beat him up?

I'm not surprised that most people either ignored him or ran away terrified, but I'm surprised that someone didn't leave that crazy fuck on the ground with his brains seeping out.

I think that probably if I had been there, I would have just stayed back and laughed my ass off, and observed him in sort of the same way you watch a primate exhibit with wacky shit going on. I would be all about whipping his ass, but I wouldn't want to get his wang on me, and any time you get into a fight, you're taking a chance on something going badly wrong--especially against someone who is boundlessly insane.

If he actually started hurting someone, I'd just approach him from behind and knock him out with a rear naked choke, or kick him in the head and proceed to beat the fuck out of him. No need to be sporting about it at that point.

that guy looked pretty cut, and when he just jumped up and started walking on his hands so casually, i think that would freak a lot of people out. i can understand why no one would want to fuck with him. physically speaking he was probably pretty strong, and if he was on something then he likely wouldn't respond to pain that much either, and might do some very nasty stuff.
