Snowden will be looking at Obama's boot in a few days. Why would he fly into Moscow if he had no way to get out? Also if he was gonna go the Ecuador why didn't he fly there first before blowing the whistle? Did this dude plan any of this?

He originally went to Hong Kong and had intended to stay there and selected it based on their legal system. He guessed correctly that they wouldn't extradite him, but it was causing too much of a stir for Beijing to be comfortable with so they asked him to leave, but said they wouldn't stop him.

Originally, he was going to fly through Russia to what was speculated to be Cuba but by then authorities were on to him.

Whistle blowing early gave him the international notoriety he needed to secure asylum, without the public hysteria he would have been unlikely to get so much outside support that he ended up needing, and ultimately got him asylum.

With that being said, why would he leave that fine ass freak of a girlfriend he had behind?
