years ago I would bring a flask with me when I went out but that was because I didn't want to pay 10 bucks for a shitty pour of a whiskey I like. I would still buy beers from the bar. I don't mind paying 1.50 for shit beers or 6 bucks for a good beer if I'm out.

I also used to sneak beer/liquor into movies- never brought my own food though. of course I never thought I would be so hungry I wouldn't make it through a 2 hour movie- the booze at least made it more entertaining

Question: I know that you are allowed to bring outside food on an airplane, but can you bring booze? I know you wouldn't be able to get it passed the security screening, but what if you bought a beer in the airport and poured it into a plastic cup?

Actually, come to think of it, couldn't you just pack airplane bottles in your carry-on since they are less than 3oz. each?

On a related note, I took a red-eye flight back from Seattle and the dude in the seat next to me broke out a HUGE taco salad before we even left the gate. WORST FLIGHT EVER
