Anyone seen this before?
I didnt know such a condition existed. I know about the one where children age really fast and die early, or other typical/known conditions where children age normally but don't grow physically and/or mentally/emotionally beyond primary school age.
But this one is weird, as if she stopped growing not at the age of 5 or 6, but as a year old toddler. At the same time, she doesn't seem to act like a typical mentally retarded child and neither as a baby, rather, as if she is a mature person/baby with controlled motor movements and chooses not to speak, but is taking all her surroundings in and understands everything.
I am just going by what I can see... need to figure out the name of the condition in English or find the report in English to know more about her and her condition.
Either way, I find it really amazing.
Stupid YouTube comments, devolving into a debate about god and his cruelty within a couple of comments. 7/26/2013 10:14:54 PM

You probably already know, but the general term for this is antigeria. I'm sure there are subsets with specific names, but I'm not aware of any particular ones. 7/26/2013 10:58:13 PM

Aha antigeria, opposite of progeria (the one where children age fast), makes sense.
Ok, I did a google search, and this is all i could find.
http://www.bio.net/bionet/mm/ageing/1997-February/002640.html http://www.bewilderingstories.com/issue78/antigeria.html http://www.bewilderingstories.com/issue81/antigeria2.html
Otherwise, it is names of companies, quite a common name, actually. No actuall medical or scientific results from google from the first 5 pages.
So while the name makes sense, that's not apparently what the medical community calls it. 7/27/2013 12:07:53 AM
