Time to play with it.
I'm not going to go off-roading. It's the family vehicle. Just looking for some modifications.
I have a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. 5.7L Hemi.
Mine looks like this.
The only thing I can think of right now is just some Oracle lights (can't be red or blue because WA law does not allow it, plus I was just going to get the white) because I like the look of the new BMW headlights. I've also considered some HIDs.
Just looking for some ideas.
In my head, I thought this would be a neat concept, but since its the family ride. I will not do it.

They aren't that great off road. Not a huge fan of the hulk lights...
My thoughts to cure your boredom.
1: trade it in on something that doesn't bore you. 2: supercharger if 1 isn't an option.

^I'm with that fool.
I would consider the loss of value relative to amount of 'personalization'.... you may find that it's easier to either leave it alone, or assign a value to a new 'toy' car
also... if it's the family vehicle and you must fiddle with it, stick with appearance items. 7/29/2013 7:28:19 AM |

are you planning to keep it for a while? because customize it will probably decrease the value of the car. 7/29/2013 10:55:44 AM |

I'm keeping it till if we have a 3rd kid. It's paid for and I don't want a car payment.

If you're just looking to piss away money on a car, I can sell you my Audi. 7/29/2013 1:17:25 PM |

No car payment is nice but IMHO no $1000+ unexpected repair bill is nice too.
Save your mods money and buy something exciting to drive too.
When you wire something up unless you use nice oe style weather proof connectors with all the grommetting and wire protection, something is going to wriggle loose and short something at some point.
I am a car modding addict but I know it's a disease not a hobby. Everything you mod causes some other maintenance item later.
That's why the Subaru is getting sold so I have 2 new under warranty cars, a truck and 2 old cars to tinker on. 7/29/2013 1:25:36 PM |

I looked into that, and I watched a few youtube videos and a few places i found online where they said they went through a few transmissions before they got it right. I think I'll pass!

I got bored with my 09 Laredo - the new 2014s are a completely different vehicle - really nice/fun to drive. Save the money on the modifications.

I agree with all the comments above. however if you really really have to do something:
I have a 2005 Grand cherokee Hemi for daily/towing purposes and did the following:
Wrangler wheels (larger tires) plastidip the chrome HID's Head unit limo tint in the back 15 percent in the front (I live in southeast texas)
I pour the rest of money into a C5 z06 and track days
Anything more than the above I would get something else, if you arent going to off road it and keep it on the street.
Everyone and there mother does a intake and flow master on the thing but all it does is set you up for worse gas mileage
good luck 8/11/2013 7:43:18 PM |
