Despite how much I troll on here with my 50 doom metal threads, music (even that pop shit) is pretty important to me and probably the only thing I attach any kind of value system to - you know because in the end its just another meaningless art form.

That being said, nothing is worse than this type of shit. I'm all for shitty pop music but you can't just pay your way in.

I don't like what it represents. If you fail, then you should try to improve or figure out why people don't like what you're doing. You know... like any other career. Just paying someone to push out an album that they can 'make' successful cheapens the entire art form for everyone else. It makes me ask myself Is that really what I'm a part of? Something where quality doesn't mean shit and you're only recognized by what some organization thinks will be marketable?
