Glad the guy is ok.

A SHP that gave me a ticket before definitely got hit and killed responding to an accident call a few years ago. I recognized his name on WRAL.

This is why I wish they would deploy cops in pairs more often. Many a time Ive moved over for them (or now for other "safety light" vehicles) and have people honking or worse as im now in the fast lane doing the speed limit. Never ever have I seen someone pulled over for this law.

The cops need to stop pulling people over beside the interstate unless they have committed a felony or something, there are too many people speeding by to have cars stopped for no good reason beside the road.

This is why LO pulls up with most of the car closer to the road so the car get hit and not the officer. But most of them now days are trained to go to passenger side

Some of them do. Guess its the officers prerogative. Police office in RR that got shot when he pulled a stolen car came up on the passenger side and got shot by the driver. Might have otherwise fallen out in traffic and gotten hit.

Actually, he was not close to getting hit, as the closest point of the skidding rig was at a greater distance from him than the rig that passed cleanly immediately beforehand. Check out the skid marks.

maybe they should quit pulling people over on crowded ass highways. All it does is cause more trooble. Puts them in danger and causes dangerous traffic situations and back ups.
