I'd always heard it pronounced "car"
I had assumed it was the correct pronunciation since its how my parents pronounced it, as well as the pharmacists, the clerks, everyone I've ever known that shopped there, and the Kerr Drug spokespeople on their commercials.

Guess I should have listened to an anonymous letter on the internet.
