Another pretty boring fight. Mayweather fought a smart, tactical fight and it was in no way entertaining. A couple of the undercard fights were ok.

People talk about boxing being dead or dying, but there's more boxing on TV now than any time in the last 20 years. There's so much more demand for programming now that you can actually see boxing all the time, but until boxing does something about the scumbag promoters and organizations that keep the best fighters from fighting they'll have an issue with legitimacy. The lack of any exciting heavyweights is a major detriment for the sport as well.

Yeah, I mean, I used to LOVE boxing as a kid, but I can barely stomach it now.

To be honest, in large part I blame Olympic boxing. The point scoring system means that youth boxers aren't trained to win fights, they're trained to try to outpoint, which makes for boring fights. You can understand it at lower weight classes, but when you watch guys like the Klitschko bros just standing outside and refusing to exchange it turns casual fans off and infuriates people who love the sport because guys aren't trying to win, they're trying not to lose.
