The above post was admittedly a bit of a troll.

But I would be curious to know others opinions. IMHO The Velvet Underground is so vastly inferior to many of the other bands operating in that time frame but I realize I'm probably in the minority there. Transformer is the best Bowie album that Bowie never made. Every time I hear Perfect Day or Wagon Wheel I think about how much better they would be with him signing.

Walk on the Wild Side, Intro- Sweet Jane is about all I could care to listen to.
The Take No Prisoners album is fun because it's more like Lou doing bad stand up comedy than music.
