Yes there are a bunch of threads already, but opinions change.

Looking for a 2 bedroom apartment, under 1200, within 20 minutes driving to Airport Blvd. Any recommendations?

I've heard mixed reviews about the Highlands at Brier Creek.

Summermill at Falls River. They have elevators and are within walking distance of groceries, a general store, video game store, wine store, gun store, sushi, new England cuisine, chinese, pizza, subway, ice cream, bagels, chubby's tacos, Ace hardware, bojos, etc.......

Oh and are right off 540.

I'm gonna be looking for a 2-br townhouse or so to rent around Sept/Oct next year, something with either a dedicated driveway or a garage

Buy a house in my neighborhood. The drive's a little longer but your mortgage will only be $600.

That's what it is. New England style foods. Lobster rolls, clam chowders, sea food stuffs and the like.

Also, a nice balcony, cat friendly, and close to trails would be good

I lived at The Crossings at Brier Creek from 11/12 to 9/13. Place was nice, but a ton of older people lived there. Also, it was 20 minutes away from everything except the Brier Creek shopping center and RTP.

Currently live in the Marquis at Edwards Mill. I recommend that over The Crossings due to location and people here are my age (I graduated from state in '12).

I lived at The Concord (off of Duraleigh) for a year. Older apartments, but it was nice living there. Well under $1200 for a 2 bedroom. Pretty nice area and decent amenities (pool, racketball court, pool table, lounge, gym, central laundry (but the apartments do have W/D connections)).

can vouch for my 1.5 months so far at Courtney Estates in Briar Creek. Stones throw from the airport, as well as all the shops/stores of Briar Creek. As far as I know, the apartment beneath mine is 2 bedrooms and is currently vacant. I think its definitely within your price range.

Great amenities as well. Indoor basketball court, racquetball court, and year round pool.

Anywhere near lake Lynn would work for your requirements. I rent a townhouse in the area for $1050... way under your budget, and probably more room. I have a cat and can walk to the Lake Lynn trail from my front door.

older = families with kids in elementary school. I'm post-grad, but I'm not THAT post-grad.

I know a couple of places in Morrisville if you're cool with Indians. They'd be about 10 min to Airport.
