She was a foster (not exactly a pet "owner") who took on more animals than she could care for; if the government hadn't acted on an anonymous tip and then allowed rescue organizations to save 33 of the animals, all 93 would have died horribly, from dehydration, rather than having 60 euthanized because they were already too far-gone.

Should've euthanized her while they were at it.

Why could they not give the animals water if they were dehydrated? It would be a shame if we killed every human that got dehydrated....

Perhaps the damage done to some of the internal organs due to dehydration made euthanization more humane than resurrecting an animal that would suffer from disabilty for the rest of its life. Quality of life is something to consider.

^LOL She probably got turned in by one of her fellow pet rescuers that thought the animals would be released in a nice big cat farm out in the country where they could run and play.

If you invite government agents into any private situation, expect some bagging and tagging.

this woman lives in our neighborhood. Animal Control and the Police were outside of her house all day and into the night last week

i guess none of you have ever lost a pet (or relative) to kidney disease, which is a likely outcome to chronic extreme dehydration. it's irreversible and the animals suffer horribly in the final stages. really surprised that the cats even made it.

Pssst...those animals weren't dehydrated, they just didn't have any shelter space for them and needed to get rid of them quickly. When the news crew showed up they had to tell them something.

Properly run shelters can close and 'get rid of' the animals with a bit more decorum than getting the president charged with animal cruelty and claiming the animals were too sick to save. They could have just transferred them to PETA, which basically euthanizes them in the rescue vehicle. So fuck off with your troll conspiracy theory.
