Just because you dig the excitement and power trip from spending taxpayers money instead of earning and blowing your own does NOT make you a hero. It's just a job.

I have to agree with this. Lets be real. None of our freedoms have ever been under attack from any foreign soil. Maybe our parents was but all of that shit is a joke these days. There is tons of awful shit going on in the world and our military does do some good to prevent it but that's not what we celebrate them for and that's not where the bulk of our dosh is going. Furthermore most of the people in the military are retards who weren't creative enough to figure out any other way to make money. Want to stop the taliban? Figure out a way to get Afghani women and children the internet.

other branches tend to focus on skills more transferable to the real world thus allowing their discharged to better integrate and act normal.
