^^ I don't even think you can order a plain grey 993 anymore, unless you go through the customizer and resist the temptation to make your pair look like this:

you can, the color is called "Kool Grey" or you can just get the 990v3.

Or get them from any other retailer (and you can still even buy 990, 991, and 992s)

neither is the 990,991, or 992 but most people consider them the same thing.

regardless though, you can still buy an all grey 993 from New Balance or other retailers

[Edited on November 19, 2013 at 1:51 PM. Reason : i've bought mine at random shoe warehouse stores and recently at Nordstrom (same price b/c of sale)]

I had a hard time tracking down a pair of black ones, since they have stopped making those (except for a US army version, and the custom ones). I eventually found some at a site called joesnewbalanceoutlet.com . good deals on older styles there.

990v3 is still the most comfortable shoe i've owned to date, save for maybe a pair of allen edmonds I just grabbed on sale.

"I'm going to just try this on to laugh at all the people who wouldn't just get a pair of NB on sale." That was like a year ago. Unfortunately, once I got them home I noticed that the stitching of the reflector on one of the shoes was skewed to the side and I was pissed that I essentially paid full price for a factory second. NB said I could wear them for a month, just pay to ship them back and they'd give me full credit on their store to purchase a pair direct.

I never put forth the effort to print out a label and find a shipping box, but the fact that they would do that without hesitation will make me a customer for a very long time.

Because they're one of the few shoe manufacturers who make shoes upwards of 15+ and are easier to find. So they're large.

Possibly the other issue is that you're tripping on acid.

I kind of like the idea of glittery metalflake New Balances. I want a pair that looks like a Ranger bass boat.
