I don't know why, but I envision a lot of cigarette smoke, sweater vests, uncomfortable hugs, unfavorable politics, and talk of cousin Jeremy in prison as being elements present at your thanksgiving.

No, I'm the drunk chain smoker in the fam. My folks are kind and decent people.

Mom's house every year for thanksgiving...family reunion (use to be grandparents house until they passed).

We do a seafood themed thanksgiving. Fried catfish, steamed oysters, crab legs, and shrimp. We still have a big turkey and all the sides that come along with it. Do all the seafood outside...similar to an oyster roast. I usually bring a desert...Tres Leches cake this year. Wife is making a pumpkin soup and some kind of cream cheese/cinnamon app thingy (I don't like it but everyone else does).

Imma get fat as a mother fucker.

Going to Fareako's grandmother's house. Without him, because he has 24-hour duty on Thursday.

It took me a second to parse the thread title

Wife and I are flying to Seattle tomorrow to meet-up with the MIL. Usually we'd head to Charlotte to hang out with my mom's family; I can't really think of a Thanksgiving where the meal wasn't home-cooked, so this'll be really different. I hear Seattle's awesome though, and we're going to check out some delicious restaurants and cocktail bars.

I'm cooking for the husband and kids. My mom and her husband might come depending on how his surgery goes today. We usually do a big family thing with my husband's family in Virginia, but Josh has to go into work at 5 pm on Thanksgiving.

my first thanksgiving off work in a couple years. Will be spending the day snuggling with my wife before going to her parents house and having dinner with them and her three siblings/sibling in laws

Making bread for my family's pot-luck style dinner this afternoon. Which really means 20 minutes of actual work and 3 hours of fucking around while it rises.

we already did Tday yesterday, and I made cornishes, because dealing with a frozen turkey is way too much for me right now. I'm thinking about making pumpkin bread today, though. but I don't have pumpkin seeds, which is kind of a travesty.

^what kind of bread are you making?

Wondering what restaurants besides Golden Corral are open today. I have no plans. Girlfriend is home with family. We've not been together long enough to do extended family occasions yet. And my parents don't do much for thanksgiving.

Amish white bread. Everyone loves when I make it, and no one ever believes me when I say it's foolproof.

The television portion of our plans got cancelled. We sat at a table with pants on and everything.

But the TV is on now, and it looks like nap time.
