Anyone have a recommendation or know of a good solution for small wireless earbuds?

I do a lot of woodworking in the garage, and would like to just pop some small earbuds in underneath my whole-ear hearing protection. This would allow me to continue listening to the tv show/movie I'm watching in the garage while I turn my saws/vac on/off.

If there's no good wireless earbuds, how about a small audio receiver I could put in my pocket and plug my headphones into? My garage is tiny, so transmit distance shouldnt be an issue.

As for hardware in place, I have a flatscreen on the wall, with a jailbroken ATV1, WDTV Live, and Roku all connected to it, and all audio is currently routed through an oldschool Sony MHC-MC1 stereo. I have about any kind of audio connector/adapter known to man, so that shouldnt be an issue. Just need a reliable (and fairly cheap) way to transmit wireless/bluetooth audio to my headphones.

Would love to keep it under $100, but open to suggestions for more expensive options if it's reliable/good quality.

meh. Most of these may not be useful with what you're trying to do.

Check out acoustic research. I have a wireless transmitter connected to my stereo input and a wireless speaker I can carry around the house to listen to TV or the stereo. They might have earbuds as well.

Probably the best quality bluetooth ear buds out there. They should fit underneath your ear protection.

i've tried wearing earbuds under hearing protection while shooting and the wire pressed against me was never comfortable. have you considered buying hearing protection with built-in BT?

Record each of your loud tools running. Invert the phase of the recordings. Set up a speaker in the garage, and play the antiphase recording of the tool you're using to cancel out the sound. Listen to whatever the hell you want with regular earbuds.

^^^ those have a stereo input, so you could just plug-in a BT adapter like the model above. Or they have hearing protection that has BT actually built in without the need for adapters.
