tl;dr - Beyonce samples the mission control audio directly after the Challenger space shuttle explosion... this audio would have come from the moments where some of the crew were still alive plummeting towards he Atlantic ocean. this has brought up hard feelings and pain from the families of those who lost their lives.

it wasn't the sound of the explosion... it was the reaction to it by the flight control folks.

I'm not outraged by it, but i could see why people would be sensitive to it, especially the ones directly affected by the loss.
