Do you use it?
Are you exclusive to one brand?
What brand? 1/13/2014 6:08:38 PM

dropdeadkate nerdlord 11725 Posts user info edit post |
I've tried a lot of brands
the chapstick brand is my favorite. the orange dreamsicle and cupcake flavors are the bomb. also vanilla mint and peppermint.
those eos ball things are cool though too
and burts bees tinted are also nice 1/13/2014 6:11:24 PM

ChapStick has a cupcake flavor now? When did that happen? I only knew of the gross strawberry, cherry, and whatever the black and blue ones are. This intrigues me.
As far as actually hydrating my lips, I like the regular Burt's Bees a lot better than the tinted version.
I have some stuff that I think is called Oh Wow that is made in Cary or Raleigh or somewhere around there that smells really good, but it's not very moisturizing imo. 1/13/2014 6:47:23 PM

Am I the only one in the world that thinks Chapstick is gross? To me it feels like I'm intentionally applying a thick, waxy crust to my lips. And if they're even a little bit chapped - BLEEEECHHHH
I'd much rather use Vaseline, lotion, or some sort of oil. 1/13/2014 7:22:21 PM

definitely no benefit if it contains Menthol, camphor, alcohol, and/or phenol. that shit will dry it out. Regular chapstick will definitely dry your lips out. Some argue that they do it intentionally to make you buy more of it.
maybe.
but other varieties don't have said ingredients, and do help including some that are chap-stick brand. 1/13/2014 8:20:04 PM

I use them all based on my mood when shopping for non-essentials, but I'll always be partial to regular old ChapStick--original or cherry.
I don't know that I need it, or that it's particularly beneficial, but applying chapstick is just something to do.
Around the third time someone tells me about their new car or what they had for breakfast...that's when I like to reduce eye contact and begin the chapstick/hand lotion/chewing gum routine. It's often rude enough to send a message, but otherwise, it gets me mentally settled to do some tough listening. 1/13/2014 9:57:40 PM

^i like their colored sticks.
i used to use this stuff all the time back when i was a conscientious person and i knew where to buy it. the lime flavor rocks, and it's really creamy and not waxy.

They're a little annoying because they're too big to go in a pocket and my son keeps thinking they're a toy.
