I think they are a little outdated, but much better than regular toothpicks for decorative entertaining purposes.

I dislike when I order a sandwich and it comes cut in half with a frilly toothpick in each side that somehow seems to make the sandwich harder to eat.

i like the tiny plastic swords but i agree they are a bit outdated.

plastic toothpicks are harsher on my gums though, so i don't use them for hygienic purposes.
